God - The Great Multiplier

Donna Nickell of New Bern, North Carolina has devoted herself to serving others, teaching Sunday school, leading bible studies. Even sharing the gospel behind prison walls.

Donna shares, “When you can connect with someone and you see the hope in their eyes, it's just a wonderful, wonderful thing. And that's how God works.”

Donna personally experienced God working in her community through CBN in 2009. When tropical storm Ida caused significant coastal flooding in North Carolina, she was so inspired by the work of Operation Blessing, she became a CBN partner.

Donna recalls, “When you live with hurricanes every year and you see the devastation, you can't understand how important it is for somebody to be there to help the people who can't help themselves.”

In 2010, she lived on social security and a reduced income. Still, she wanted to help others, so she gave generously and trusted God to take care of her. When covid hit, Donna contracted the virus and some lingering complications meant she had to slow down. She continued giving to CBN to ensure she was still serving others.

Donna says, “If I can't be the hands and feet of Jesus, I will give to those who are doing the work. It is spiritually satisfying the work is getting done.”

Donna saw God provide again and again. One time, in a very unexpected way.

Donna remembers, “God always supernaturally, arranges things. I got a check in the mail for $15,000 from the bank I had worked for that I didn't even know I had a retirement account with, and I was able to pay off my car.”

Since then, Donna has given one third of her income each year. She loves knowing her generosity helps support Superbook, CBN news, and especially CBN Israel.

Donna says, “I watch the 700 Club every day. I like what CBN stands for. I like hearing the news from a Christian perspective especially now with what is going on in Israel. You can trust that when you give to CBN, they’re going to do God’s work.”

Donna encourages others to give what they can because God makes it count.

Donna shares, “Try Him. Write the check. just do it with true faith in your heart. That God is a God of His word. If you think that your gift is not big enough. If you think well, I can only give $10 or whatever, God can take that $10 and multiply it and use it in ways that you can't imagine.”

Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” and we invite you to join in blessing others with your giving to CBN! Your faithful giving brings hope to the hopeless and the truth of God’s Word to millions of homes through The 700 Club! Help bring the love of Christ to the world when you become a CBN partner today!
